Access to the membership register

All employees in the YTF secretariat are required to assist our members and are dependent on access to the membership register. All employees sign a confidentiality agreement upon joining. In addition, up to two shop stewards in each local branch have access to the membership register, limited to the branch's members. These shop stewards sign a confidentiality agreement when they are granted access.

Correction of information

All members have access to "My Page" on ytf.no. "My Page" is protected by a username and password. Here you can correct and change your own information, as well as change consents that have been given.

Requests for changes, corrections or additions to information can also be directed to the membership register.

Member information shall be deleted when there is no longer a legitimate need to retain it. Personal information related to membership shall be up-to-date and correct. Member information shall be deleted within 2 months of termination. If the member owes dues, the information may be retained for up to 2 years.

Case management

Members' personal data is processed by lawyers and advisors in the secretariat in connection with case processing. A separate declaration of consent is obtained in connection with legal matters.

In this context, the Norwegian Workers' Traffic Association processes information about members on the basis (processing basis) of Article 6 (1) letter b, Article 9 (1) letter b and Article 9 (2) d.

Our case management system functions as an electronic case file system for legal follow-up, where relevant and necessary written correspondence in the case is stored.

Any physical case files are kept locked up, and the file is shredded after the case has been processed.

Who does the Occupational Safety and Health Association share the information with?

The Norwegian Federation of Occupational Safety and Health does not disclose member information to outsiders/third parties, except that lists of members are sent to the payroll department in the companies. Overviews of members are transferred to our partners such as Gjensidige and Nordea (YS app) in accordance with a data processing agreement.

Unless the member has given consent otherwise, our partners shall only use the membership lists to verify membership in connection with the use of member benefits. Membership lists are not sent electronically unless there is sufficient security through encryption.

In some contexts, YTF conducts member surveys. Participation in these is voluntary and anonymous. If we use an external partner in this connection, a data processing agreement is entered into.
