The Norwegian Professional Transport Association is a trade union for those who work in the transport sector.
Our most important goal is to ensure that you who work in the industry have a working day to live with and a salary to live on. This is what our 16 employees in the secretariat and almost 700 shop stewards around Norway work on every day.
Who are the members?
We have over 13,000 members in many different parts of the transport industry, organized into what we call industry groups. The groups we in YTF have members in are bus , freight , warehouse and logistics , rail , office workers , taxi , tow trucks, construction transport , cranes , environmental transport , the mobility industry and parking .
What do we do for you?
In addition to working to improve your pay and working conditions, we at the Occupational Traffic Association are working to:
- increase the professional competence of our members and elected representatives
- provide free legal assistance in employment matters such as employment, dismissals, traffic accidents and driver's license confiscation
- provide one hour of legal first aid in private matters
- have a good dialogue with public authorities, and through this achieve success in matters that are important to our members
- raise the status of the industry in society
