What is the money used for?
The central membership fee goes to cover expenses for lawyers, advisors and other staff in the secretariat, as well as the operation of the organization. The local membership fee goes to member care and local events.

How to pay in?
Members who do not have a contribution deduction from their employer must pay their contribution by direct debit or e-invoice. When you receive your first invoice and pay it via online banking, you will be given the option to create a direct debit/e-invoice there. If you work less than 50% of your full-time position, you will pay 50% of your contribution. You must inform YTF of this yourself at medlem@ytf.no

School student?
Are you a student in the transport and logistics sector? Then you are exempt from the membership fee. You have the same membership benefits as other members in the form of discount agreements with various partners and can participate in the association's activities. You can also get advice and help from our secretariat and elected officials.

Apprentice?
Apprentices pay 100 NOK per month and have the same rights and membership benefits as fully paying members. You receive, among other things, free legal assistance in matters related to your employment, and can receive one hour of free legal assistance in private matters. After one year as a paying member, you receive our leisure accident insurance for free.

Sick leave, AAP or paid leave?
In case of illness, you pay the full membership fee for a year. Payment is either made through NAV or you pay yourself by receiving an invoice from YTF centrally. Remember to let us know if you are on sick leave, and when paying via NAV, it is important to check that your membership fee is deducted. If you are ill for more than 1 year and switch to work assessment benefits from NAV, you are exempt from membership fees. This requires that you send us a copy of the decision you have received from NAV to medlem@ytf.no , and note that the exemption applies from the date you send us the NAV decision. A new decision must also be submitted when the old one has expired, otherwise you will lose your rights with YTF. Members on paid leave pay the full membership fee (e.g. during parental leave).

Unemployed or laid off?
If you become unemployed or laid off, you pay a minimum contribution of NOK 100/month from the day you report this to us at medlem@ytf.no . This applies until you are back at work.

You must notify us as soon as you return to work so that the quota is correct. If you are registered as unemployed and something happens in your new employment relationship, you may lose your rights with YTF.

Retired?
Are you a pensioner member? Then you are exempt from dues, but can choose to pay 500 kroner a year for membership in the pensioners' association. If you are a working pensioner, however, you pay dues at the normal rates. You can read more about this on the pensioners' page.
