Security is an important part of membership in YTF Therefore, as a member, you have insurance included without having to pay extra.
Insurance can provide financial assistance to you or your loved ones if life takes an unexpected turn.

YTF Basic insurance
Seam YTF As a member, you have death insurance included in your membership. This insurance provides financial first aid to your survivors.
What does the insurance cover?
- In the event of the member's death: NOK 40,000.
- In addition, it pays YTF NOK 5,000 to the member in the event of the death of a spouse/cohabitant and/or children under the age of 19.
- The insurance is valid until the calendar year in which you turn 67.
Do you share debt with anyone?
If you have debts or a family to support, it may be a good idea to take out additional insurance with a higher amount. Gjensidige offers YS Livsforsikring at a very good member price.

YTF Leisure accident insurance
After one year as a paying apprentice or regular member, you get access to YTF Leisure accident insurance at no extra cost as part of YTF -membership*. The insurance is valid as long as the membership fee is paid, and is valid until the calendar year in which you turn 70.

What does the insurance cover?
- Accidents that occur during leisure time (occupational accidents are not included**).
- Payment in the event of permanent medical disability resulting from an accident, globally (max. 12 months for stays abroad): up to 3G (355,860 NOK). The amount of the payment depends on the degree of disability.
- Treatment expenses of up to NOK 50,000 for dental treatment and up to NOK 15,000 for other treatment.
