Who can become a member?
You can become a member if you are a student , apprentice or professional within one of our industries.
We organize, among other things:
- bus
- goods
- warehouse and logistics
- path
- taxi
- car towing
- construction transport
- crane and environmental transport
- mobility
- parking
- clerks
Self-employed individuals within these industries can also sign up.
Re-enrollment
Have you previously been a member and lost your membership due to non-payment?
You must then pay two months' dues before your membership can be restored, and the quarantine period for legal assistance applies as when you first registered.

- Free legal assistance* in employment-related matters
- Advisors who know the working environment law and the transport industry
- Local elected officials who stand up for you
- Assistance in conflicts, dismissals, salary disputes and layoffs
* Applies when the membership fee has been paid and the case arises after the quarantine period (two months). Exception: The two-month quarantine period does not apply to apprentices or to members who report a transfer from another union. The member must have been a member of the other union for two months before the case arises.

Pension

Financial support
YTF provides financial benefits that many people use every year:
- up to NOK 10,500 in support when you get a vocational certificate (after passing the vocational exam)
- 700 NOK per year for physiotherapy/chiropractic
- 1200 NOK every two years in glasses support
- 600 NOK per year for lenses
- Several departments have their own local support schemes
- Strike contributions from YTF's strike fund in the event of a conflict
What does it cost?
The membership fee consists of:
- 1.5% central quota, max 605 NOK
- At least 0.15% local quota
In 2026 this means:
- Max 666 NOK per month
- At least 110 NOK per month
(rates may vary between departments)
You receive a tax deduction for up to NOK 8,700 of the membership fee.
