Strike averted: Good settlement for YTF members
The mediator presented a draft to the Riksmekleren at 05:15 early Saturday morning, September 5, which the parties chose to recommend. Thus, the announced strike for 237 YTF -members averted. Deadline for response to the settlement is September 29th.
– We are happy that we are avoiding a strike, but the most important thing is that our members get a good financial settlement. We have secured a clear salary increase and improvements that will have an impact on both wages and security in everyday working life, says Josefine Wærstad, negotiation manager in YTF .

This is the result
- General surcharge: NOK 6.50 per hour from 01.04.26.
- Minimum wage: Minimum wage rates will be raised by a total of NOK 16.62 in 2026
- 7.12 of these have already been given in the February adjustment from 01.02.26, as a result of the guarantee provision in the agreement.
- 6.50 is added due to the general surcharge
- In addition, a special supplement to the minimum wage of NOK 3 will be given with effect from 01.06.26
- Food allowance: The rate is increased to 114 kroner.
- Security in the event of illness: Provisions are being introduced in the collective agreement that ensure employees receive advance payments of sick, care and parental benefits for 4 months. Existing, better schemes are not affected.
- Other improvements:
- Regular working hours will no longer be able to be shifted from 17:00-19:00. This is to protect the normal working day. Shifted working hours now require an agreement with the employee representative.
- The company must provide information about the company's pension provider, including where employees can follow what is being paid.
The wholesale agreement applies to employees in warehouses and in goods distribution. Members ensure every day that goods are received, picked and sent to stores and other businesses throughout the country.
– We are very pleased with the result. Employees in warehouses, logistics and transport have an important responsibility in the flow of goods every day, and this year's settlement provides a boost that recognizes the effort that is being made, says Wærstad.
YTF had notified a strike for 237 members in REMA Distribution Norway and Kolly. Everyone who was included in the strike action will report to work and follow the work schedule as usual.
