Throughout more than three decades as King of Norway, King Harald served his country with a strong sense of duty and great respect for the role he was given. He met people with warmth and genuine interest, and stood by the people in both good and difficult times.
King Harald had a unique ability to see both the people and the country he ruled. In a long Norway, with great distances and different lives, he contributed to a sense of belonging and reminded us of what we have in common.
