The first thing you should do is send a short email to the company and ask for local wage negotiations. You are entitled to this, and the most important thing is to get started. Anyone who does not ask for local negotiations will not get a higher salary.

The next step is to ask for figures from the company. Ask specifically about the average salary of the drivers. Here you should have an overview of the actual salary including bonuses. This is important to know what you can claim.
What can you demand? YTF and the employers' associations have agreed on the framework for this year's settlement. The goal is for employees to have about a 4.4 percent pay increase this year. The central increases are only part of this. This means that there is still some room for local negotiations.
For example, an employee who currently earns 280 kroner and has received 6.50 kroner this year will have received approximately 2.3 percent salary increase. Then there is approximately 2.1 percent left to reach an increase of 4.4. To get 4.4 percent, the employee must receive around 8 kroner in local negotiations.
But remember: The average is not a ceiling. In many companies, there may be good reasons to charge more. If the company is doing well, has good future prospects, has low salaries compared to others, or is struggling to retain good employees, you can charge more than the average.
The most important thing is to try. A small local supplement is better than no supplement. If you need help with local salary negotiations, you can contact marius@ ytf .no .
The right to local negotiations applies to all YTF members with the exception of members associated with the Bus Industry Agreement.
