The goods settlement has been approved.

The result of the wage settlement for freight drivers has now been adopted after a preliminary vote among YTF members.

This means that the agreement has now been approved, and that the amendments and changes that were negotiated will become effective.

Negotiator Marius Træland in YTF is pleased that members have given clear support to the result.

– This is a clear yes from the members. It shows that the result is perceived as good and important for the freight drivers. We have put in place salary supplements for everyone, increased minimum wage rates and advance payments of sick pay, care benefits and parental benefits. These are important achievements, says Træland.

This was adopted

The result gives everyone on the agreement 10.50 kroner more per hour from April 1. This consists of 6.50 kroner in general supplement and 4 kroner in bonus.

In addition, the vocational certificate supplement will be increased by 2 kroner, to a total of 15 kroner from April 1. The minimum wage rates will be increased by 5 kroner from August 1, to a total of 15.50 kroner, and the food allowance rate will be increased to 114 kroner.

One of YTF's most important demands was the advance payment of sick pay, care benefits and parental benefits. This will now be included in the agreement from 1 July 2027, and applies for up to four months for employees with at least six months of seniority in the company.

– For our members, this is about security. When you get sick, have a sick child or are going on leave, you won't have to wait unnecessarily long for money. That means a lot in everyday life, says Træland.

Local negotiations next step

In addition to the central result, local negotiations will be carried out in the companies.

YTF encourages shop stewards and members to use local negotiations actively.

– The central settlement provides an important basis, but there is also much that can be taken further locally. The companies are different, and in many places there may be room for more. That is why the local negotiations are important, says Træland.
