Agreement in wage negotiations at the Mining Industry Agreement

The parties have reached an agreement on the main settlement for the Mining Industry Agreement.

For members working under the agreement, the result means, among other things, a general salary increase, a higher minimum wage, increased certificate allowances and better rates.

The result includes, among other things:

• General wage supplement of NOK 6.50 per hour.
• The minimum wage rate is increased by 15 kroner, to 220 kroner per hour.
• The professional certificate supplement will be increased to 18 kroner per hour.
• Food allowance is increased to 114 kroner.
• The supplement for continuous shift work on public holidays will be increased to NOK 150 per shift.
• The employer must advance sickness, nursing and parental benefits for up to four months.

Higher wages and rates

The general surcharge of NOK 6.50 applies from April 1, 2026.

The minimum wage rate will also be increased to NOK 220 per hour. This is an increase of NOK 15 from the previous rate.

For members with a trade certificate, the trade certificate supplement will be increased to NOK 18 per hour. The meal allowance rate will be increased to NOK 114.

Advance payment is included in the agreement

Provisions will also be introduced regarding advance payments of sickness, care and parental benefits.

This means that the employer pays the money to the employee, and receives a refund from Nav when the conditions are met. The scheme is valid for up to four months.

For members, this means more predictable income in the event of illness, care benefits or parental leave.
