YTF fired up the grill at Langhus for the tenth year in a row

Wednesday, May 13th was YTF in place outside Brødrene Dahl in Snipetjernveien. From the grill, over 500 burgers and sausages were distributed to employees who worked at Langhus that day.

Both members and non-members stopped by. Many took time out from their workday to have a chat and grab a hot meal before going back to work.

Even though the sun was absent, the atmosphere was good.

– It's really nice to meet people where they're actually at work. This barbecue day has become a nice tradition, and it means a lot to us to be able to come out, talk to the members and give a little back, says Tor Arne Korsmoe, recruitment and organizational advisor at YTF .

A popular break from everyday work

Langhus is an important hub for many people who work in transport, logistics and warehousing. That's why the barbecue day has become a regular meeting place for YTF .

For many, it's not just about a burger or a hot dog. It's also about being seen, meeting colleagues, and getting a little break from a busy workday.

– It is days like these that remind us how important community is. We have good conversations, meet both familiar and new faces, and hear what people are concerned about in their everyday lives, says Korsmoe.

Ten years of grilling and fellowship

This year's barbecue day marked its tenth year YTF organized a barbecue at Langhus. The tradition has grown bigger year by year, and the attendance shows that the offer is still appreciated.

With over 500 burgers and hot dogs handed out, lots of good conversations and steady traffic at the grill, this year's grill day was also a success.

– This is a tradition we are proud of. YTF should be visible and accessible to our members, also in the workplace. That's where everyday life happens, says Korsmoe.
