The negotiations began on Thursday, April 23 at 10:00 a.m. and continued throughout the night. In the early hours of Friday, April 24 at 7:30 a.m., the parties reached an agreement. The settlement will now go to a vote.
The agreement applies to everyone who is a member of the Bus Industry Agreement. This means that the result includes bus drivers, light rail drivers and workshop and car wash personnel.
– This is a good result for our members. The most important thing is that we have received a financial settlement that benefits everyone on the Bus Industry Agreement, says YTF's negotiation leader Marius Træland.

This is the result of the negotiations:
- 11 kroner in general supplement to everyone from April 1, 2026
- For regular bus drivers, NOK 5.50 will be given in addition to the general supplement that will be given at the interim settlement in 2027, with effect from April 1, 2027.
- Advance payment of nursing and care allowance
- Committee work until the next main settlement that will address issues related to split shifts and order processing
YTF has been concerned that the settlement should have a broad impact. The union has emphasized that the result must have value for the entire agreement area, not just for certain groups.
– It has been demanding negotiations, but we are satisfied to have reached a solution that provides a good financial result for the entire agreement. It has been important to us that this applies to everyone covered by the Bus Industry Agreement, says Træland.
Now the members will have their say
– This is a result we believe is a basis for recommending. Now it is the members who will vote on the result, says Træland.
The primary vote is YTF is May 6-11 and YTF sends out its own information to members when voting opens.
The negotiating committee for YTF voted unanimously yes on the result and recommends the union's members vote yes on the ballot. The settlement now goes to a ballot with a deadline of May 11th.
