Employee of the Year in YTF is Kurt Petersen, head of logistics department 604 Vestre Viken.
The award is one of the most recognized honors in YTF It is given to union representatives who make extraordinary contributions to the members, the organization and the community.
Kurt is just such a representative.
A YES person
Some people say they have to check their calendar when they are asked to show up. Others say it might not be appropriate.
Kurt usually answers something completely different.
Yes, of course. What does that mean?
He is known as a true YES person. It doesn't matter if it's a membership meeting, a demanding case, or a late afternoon phone call. When someone needs help, he is there.
For the members, he is not just a representative. He is available.
He picks up the phone. He calls back. He emails. And he follows up.

Listens and follows up with members
His commitment doesn't stop at the simple things. Kurt cares about each individual member.
If someone is considering opting out, they don't just get a confirmation. They get a phone call. He reaches out to listen, understand, and figure out what can be improved.
When he himself does not have the answer to a case, he ensures that the member gets the right help. He then refers them to the union's advisors at ytf . It's about quality and good follow-up.
Built an entire department
When Kurt took over as leader of department 604 Vestre Viken, activity was low. Today, the department is a large and well-functioning department with over 330 members.
Through structure, frequent board meetings and active involvement of elected officials, he has created new life in the organization locally.
He includes people in the work, follows up on the board and makes sure that things actually happen.
All new members also receive a personal and local welcome from the department. He does this because he knows that first impressions matter.
Burner for organization
Kurt is also very concerned with the big picture. For him, organization is a matter of the heart.
He is actively working to get more people to organize and become part of the community in YTF Not with big words, but through presence, credibility and hard work.
An effort that gets noticed
Kurt puts in far more work than is expected of a department manager. He gets involved more than is required and cares more than is usual.
Such an effort does not go unnoticed.
During the board of directors meeting in Oslo, he therefore received well-deserved recognition in front of the entire organization.
We congratulate Kurt on his award as YTF 's Representative of the Year .
