YTF supports processing fees for national van license

Yrkestrafikkforbundet has submitted a consultation response on proposals for processing fees and fees for licensing exams in connection with the national van license. The association organizes members within the transport sector and has previously supported the introduction of the licensing scheme.

YTF points out that the permit requirement for vans was supported when it was up for consultation in 2024, and still believes that this is an important measure. The association points to the need for clearer rules to make the industry more serious.

YTF emphasizes that it should be profitable to follow the regulations. It should not be profitable to operate frivolously or illegally. In the association's assessment, the fee system contributes to this.

The association believes that the processing fee of NOK 930 and the fee of NOK 590 for the license exam are reasonable amounts for operators who want to operate freight transport by van. Yrkestrafikkforbundet therefore supports the proposal.
