On Wednesday, October 9, the Norwegian Industrial Traffic Federation (YTF), Negotia, Parat and NHO reached an agreement in the negotiations on the white-collar workers' agreement for the period 2024-2026. The agreement will be continued essentially without changes.

– The negotiations have been demanding, and we have had to resist several of NHO's demands that we believed would weaken acquired rights. Among other things, NHO wanted to delete several important provisions in the agreement, says Kristine Martinsen, negotiator at YTF.

The employee side, including YTF, had several proposals that they believe would have been beneficial to both parties, but which NHO was not willing to accommodate.
– We are disappointed that NHO did not want to modernize the senior regulations to include a more comprehensive life-stage policy, which we see as important for our members' working lives, says Martinsen.
It was agreed to establish a committee to review the competence provisions in the agreement, with the goal of making them more up-to-date and user-friendly.
