The Transport and Communications Committee has submitted for consultation Representative Proposal 74 S (2022–2023) on social dumping in the delivery truck industry.

Yrkestrafikkforbundet points out in its consultation response that the conditions in the courier industry are very serious. The association refers, among other things, to statements from the Oslo police and Økokrim about a high level of crime in the industry, and supports the representatives taking the initiative to address the challenges.

YTF believes that all five proposals in the representative proposal are necessary and good steps in the right direction. The union highlights the need for more inspections in the road sector and increased funding for the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority.

Furthermore, supports YTF the proposal to accelerate and expand the driving and rest time rules to also apply to national transport for delivery and vans up to 2.5 tonnes.
