-We are satisfied with a settlement that affects many groups both in terms of salary and competence. Among other things, a general supplement will be given to everyone from April 1, and there will be a fairly significant increase in the minimum wage rates from the same time. In addition, temporary employees will now have to earn company seniority, which they have not been entitled to previously, and employees with a machine operator certificate will also receive a certificate supplement for this, says negotiator Petter Sommervold, who was present on behalf of the Norwegian Occupational Traffic Federation.
-Furthermore, it can be mentioned that the company will, among other things, cover protective glasses with prescription for those who need them, and it will be possible to have up to 7.5 hours per year covered with ordinary salary to carry out competence-raising measures. During the period, a committee has also been set up to further assess the introduction of a seniority ladder in the industry, he says.
