On Tuesday, June 1, YS Municipality and the employers' side reached an agreement on the interim settlement for YTF members in the municipally owned waste management companies. The settlement provides increased guaranteed wage rates, a general supplement for everyone and a special boost for skilled workers with long seniority.

On Tuesday, June 1, an agreement was reached in the interim settlement for YTF members on the collective agreement with what was called KS Bedrift until April 2020. YTF mainly has employees in municipally owned waste management companies on this agreement, and negotiated as usual here together with the YS unions Delta and Parat.
YS Municipality went into the negotiations with demands for, among other things, an increase in the guaranteed wage rates and general increases for everyone. In addition, it was particularly important to increase the wage level for skilled workers with a minimum of 16 years of seniority so that this came above the 20-year guarantee. For employees with 20 years of salary seniority, the minimum wage in a one hundred percent position is now 433,100 kroner.
During last year's main settlement, the parties were further apart, and there was thus no basis for arriving at a new level for the guaranteed wage rates and the agreement was simply continued without changes. An important step in this year's settlement was therefore to raise the guaranteed wage rates by more than the general increase.
– Most of our overall demands were met and the frame ended up at 2.82%, which is well in line with comparable groups. With this settlement, the members' purchasing power is secured, so now it is up to local parties to carry out local wage negotiations in the individual business, says YTF's negotiator Petter Sommervold.
