Wages

The Norwegian Professional Transport Union is the union with the most organized bus drivers. The demands are based on input from the departments ahead of this year's settlement. YTF demands that the employer fulfill the promise of wages more in line with industrial workers. In addition, YTF demands the lowest wage rate on the bus schedule as the new minimum wage for coach drivers.

Head of Negotiations at the Norwegian Workers' Union Linda Jæger is looking forward to the negotiations that start on September 2nd.

– We should have compensated for the backlog that we have had in recent years' wage settlements. For example, bus and train drivers came out particularly badly in the coordinated settlement in 2018, states Jæger.

Improvements in everyday work

The Norwegian Workers' Traffic Federation demands that the provision that up to 10 minutes of delay is included in the hourly wage be removed. The YTF also demands that the Oslo provisions for part-shifts be made applicable to everyone and that time be set aside to carry out the safety check.

– We are negotiating together with the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions, the Norwegian Trade Unions and the Norwegian Railways Association and are holding a joint referendum with them. Remember to use your right to vote in the referendum, concludes Jæger.
